10 Days of Halloween! Day 5: Candy Corn Nails!!

Hey polish people!!

Today I have some nail art to show off! I did these Halloween themed candy corn nails a little while ago and I actually think they turned out pretty good! I just did one layer at a time using some scotch tape to mark off the lines. Easy peasy!

Colours used:
OPI Flit A Bit
OPI Alpine Snow
Color Club Almost Famous

I think these are perfect for Halloween! What do you think?

10 Days of Halloween, Day 4: Black Spider Egg Nails!

Happy Thursday polish people!

Hope you are all having a great day :) I am doing well today. My sister is home from school for a break and it is so, so, so nice to see her. I haven't seen her in about six months! We went to a party together and have been hanging out :)

Anyway, here is my mani for Day 4 of my 10 Days of Halloween Series! .. This is the "fish egg" manicure but today I am calling it the SPIDER egg manicure to make it more spooky for halloween! Super simple! Just painted my nails with WnW Black Creme than dunked them into some micro beads that I picked up at Michaels after applying a thicker coat of topcoat! This mani didn't last too long on me, about 1/2 a day before the beads were coming loose and I *needed* to pick them off :P

However, I DO think it looks creepy though. Funny how the time of year can change your perspective. I would have thought this was "chic" back in July but in October its definitely spooky!!! What do you think?

10 Days of Halloween, Day 3: Festive Glitter Tips FT Lynn & CG

Hey everyone!

For day 3 of the 10 Days of Halloween series I am sporting CG Stone Cold (such a great polish, such a great formula!) with Lynnerella Cauldron Drippings on the tips!

I liked this combination. I thought it was super festive and cute :) What do you think?

10 Days of Halloween Series, Day 2: Dollish Polish Zombie Flesh Manicure!

Hey polish people!

Today for day two of my 10 Days of Halloween Series I am showing off Dollish Polish's Zombie Flesh. Its super complex with glitters in green, gold, and black (i love black glitter!) in a murky muted medium green base. I layered two coats over a dark green but I'm sure it could build up on its own. I just like to conserve polish :)

I cannot wait to add some blood splatters to this!!

10 Days of Halloween Series! Day 1: WnW Once Upon A Time!

Hi everyone!

I'm going to start a series!!! 10 days of Halloween themed polishes and nail art! Halloween is probably my second favourite holiday! I adore dressing up (usually as a superhero) and giving candy to kids and watching B list horror movies from the 80s (guilty pleasure).

So to start it off the series is WnW Fantasy Makers Once Upon A Time. Black jelly base with micro and medium size red hex glitters. Its pretty awesome for a pretty awesome price. This is two coats over one coat of black. But you can see in the pictures it dries pretty gritty and bumpy. A couple coats of top coat is a must. But for the price, with the cute bottles, and the good formula.. its totally worth it!

Hope you like it!

IM BACK! An explanation and a Crows Toes Cheshire Mani!

Hey polish people!

So sorry for my 2 week long hiatus. I got called away to work unexpectedly for 2 weeks and I was without a reliable internet connection in northern Canada. I was happy to get those 2 weeks since the season of my job is coming to an end so this was a pleasant last minute surprise! I love working, but I did miss my little blog :)

To make up for it, here is my favourite Crows Toes polish, Cheshire :) My most favourite purple glitter. I thik the best part of it is the splattering of gold sparkly hexes and the odd big matte purple hexes. There is also some holo little bits in there. It sparkles like crazy, I love it!

This is two coats over Zoya Suri. The formula on Cheshire is thick but not unmanageable, it may need some thinner soon. I am really happy with how it looks on, though :)

These pictures were taken before I left for work.. unfortunately, work DESTROYED my nails so you'll have to put up with seeing my nubbins for a couple of weeks :(

Either way though, I am glad to be back :)

Julep Hayden! My perfect cantaloupe polish!

Hi polish people!

My sister and I have been looking for the perfect "cantaloupe flesh" coloured polish for some time now. Everything I have found has either been too orange, too yellow, too pale, or too dark. Julep Hayden is perfect! I'm so excited! It is the EXACT cantaloup colour I have been searching for! I had seen some swatches of Hayden online, so I knew she had some potential. However, for the size of a Julep polish, I think the price tag is just too high. So when I found this on a blog sale with a few other beauties I snatched it up and couldn't be happier! I can't wait to show this to my sister when we meet up in a few weeks :)

This is three coats of Hayden with no topcoat :)

Canteloupe goodness!!! I'm happy with this find :)

FINALLY! The search is over, I've found my favourite nude, OPI My Very First Knockerwerst!

Hi everyone!

If you follow my blog you may have noticed that nudes look terrible on me. They all seem to clash with my skin tone making me have obvious red hands or corpse hands.. all that bad stuff. When I first saw swatches online of the OPI Germany Collection, Don't Pretzel My Buttons was getting most of the attention out of the nudes, but for me it was My Very First Knockerwerst that stood out. Pale nude (but not too pale) with just enough pink undertones to be flattering.

It covered nicely in two coats with a standard OPI creme formula. I find it looks subtle but clean and pretty.. like a nude should look on someone. It is definitely work appropriate, while being a little more feminine than a putty, taupe, or beige. I really really like this colour. It has moved up the rankings and is going to be my go-to nude palate cleanser.

I can't gaurentee it'll look good on every skin tone, but if you are having trouble finding a good nude, I highly recommend this colour :)

a-England Dragon! I love this polish!!

Todays post is of one of my new favourite polishes! I love a-England and I love green.. therefore I had been lemming a-Englands Dragon since I first laid eyes on the swatches (HAT TRICK, I love dragons too). I don't know why it look me so long to bite the bullet and buy this bad boy but I sure as heck am happy with my purchase!

A perfect dragon green with a scattered holo finish with flashes of gold. One coat covered wonderfully, and would do in a hurry, but two really builds up that finish! Applied perfect, like I expect my a-Englands to do. I only have wonderful things to say about this bad boy! It is going to frequent my nails often, especially since I think it looks perfect for fall :)
