NOTD: KB Shimmer The Square & HITS Mari Moon Unconventional

Hello polish people!

Just a quick post today to show off my manicure. This is two coats of KB Shimmer The Square.. over one coat of HITS Mari Moon Unconventional.. over one coat of WnW Black Creme.

Unconventional is a very pretty multichrome that has flashes of deep blues, purples and that awesome red toned pinky colour you can see in the pictures.

KB Shimmer The Square has tons of different colored and finished square glitters in a purple jelly like base.

I quite like the way this mani turned out! Glitter over a multichrome looks cooler than I thought it would :)

Enchanted Polish Octopus' Garden Swatchfest :)

Hi everyone!

First of all, I'd like to apologize for the iphone pictures in some posts coming up. My camera is having a hissy fit.

But today I am showing you Enchanted Polish's Octopus's Garden from The Beatles collection! A multichrome with a holo finish. It is primarily a deep royal blue with flashes of blurple, violet, red, yellow, and green.

The holo finish is very subtle indoors, where my pictures were taken.. and most of the multichrome colours are only visable at extreme angles. Its still very pretty though! This is three coats and no topcoat. There are a lot of pictures because I wanted to try and capture the colour shift.

& that is it for today!
So long for now :)

NOTD Clarins 230 - AKA Unicorn Pee

Today I am showing off one of my most coveted and loved bottles of polish, Clarins 230. The long discontinued, VHTF and now extremely expensive on ebay polish is affectionately known in the nail polish world as unicorn pee, and for a very good reason. It is like a beautiful rainbow in a bottle!

To get 230 opaque on its own, I imagine it would take quite a few coats and I like to conserve this polish because I never EVER want to run out of it. Today I layered one coat of the awesomesauce over black. Here are some pictures taken outside  :)

Look at the pinky in the last one! You can really really see the green, orange and red on one nail!
I tried to capture the colour shift as best as I could.. from red to gold, and orange, and green! Next I'll try this over a vibrant purple or blue to bring out the base colour of the magnificent 230!

Thanks for stopping by!

Pretty & Polished Wine Night Out - Swatch & Review

It's a beautiful day.. sunny and perfect for a colour shifting topcoat!

I thought I would test out Pretty & Polished's Wine Night Out. I originally bought this bad boy simply for the name... I effing love wine, and I love going out... so it seemed to be a perfect fit. Then when I found out it was colour shifting I knew it was meant to be :D

The colour shifting particles in this one seem to be different than glitter, and different than shimmer.. but very glitter-like. Smaller, all uniformly shaped, and densely packed in a clear base.

The colour shift starts at a blue & purple at most angles, and changes to pink, red, orange and yellow. The shift is very very obvious in real life, and it is incredibly sparkly in the sun. I wish I could have captured the true beauty of it in photos. Trust me, its gorgeous.

This is one very easy coat over black. The pictures are both indoors and outdoors and at lots of different angles.

This polish is super unique to my collection and I wish I got the full size. It is really awesome and super pretty. I'm going to try it over a lighter colour next for a different effect :)

Layering Day! Nfu Oh 51!

This is one of my favourite polishes, and at the moment, my first and only Nfu Oh (I hope to get my hands on some more soon though).

Its a gorgeous colour shifting polish with multi-chrome shimmer AND flakies!!!!!! The base is sort of a blurple jelly like base, and the flakies are pretty abundant. The colour shifts from red, to orange, to gold, to green. Its very very obvious in person too.
It applied really well. I think it would probably take about three coats for it to be opaque on it's own but to conserve polish, and to give it a little bit of a funky look, I used one coat over Illamasqua stance - A bright fuchsia, and I think it looks awesome.

Ouu I love Nfu Oh bottles. I think they're awesome!

These next few really show off the colour shift :)

Omggg it is so pretty. I'm in love with it. I might marry this polish in the near future. I got my bottle from Nail Polish Canada where they carry brands that aren't readily accessable to us Canadians for pretty good prices :) The prices for Nfu Oh vary between $9.50-$12.50 and they carry all the flakies and holos and other great ones too! They also ship quickly! I'll be ordering some more soon :)
